What to Do If Your Injera Has No Eyes?

2019-12-18
What to do if your injera has no eyes? Some customers who use the injera making machine to make injera for the first time may confused by this question. Please don’t worry. This may be due to the following reasons.

1. Insufficient fermentation time
we know that before making injera, mix the water and teff flour thoroughly, stir to batter, and cover with a towel. Let stand for one day (24 hours) or longer. However, if the fermentation time is less than one day, the material is not fully fermented, which will cause the produced injera surface to have no eyes. Just need to extend the fermentation time to solve.

2. Insufficient amount of baking powder
Teff flour needs to add an appropriate amount of baking powder to promote fermentation during fermentation, but if too little baking powder is placed and the fermentation is insufficient, it will cause no eyes on injera. Just add some baking powder.

3. The machine temperature setting is too low
The machine plays a very important role in the production of injera, so it is important to produce them after they are skilled in operation. And before starting production, make sure that the parameters are set correctly, especially the temperature. If the temperature is not up to standard, the eyes on the injera surface will be small and less. You need to raise the baking temperature.

Of course, there are other reasons that cause injera has no eyes. If you encounter this kind of problem during production, you can contact us.
